MEET THE TEAM

DAVID LEE ADAMS, CEO

David’s love for entrepreneurship began at a young age. While born and raised in New Orleans, he wasn’t afraid to make moves. During high school, David moved to Florida where he pursued a professional fishing career, appearing on ESPN2’s the Billfish Extreme Release League and earning the title World Champion in the World Billfish Series in 2000 and 2001. When off the water, he was competing on land in the Paso Fino Horse Association shows. Since he was a young boy, he enjoyed riding horses with his grandfather, and in 2002, became a National and World Champion Paso Fino Winner. But he didn’t stop there -- later that year, at the young age of 17, David opened his first exotic car dealership, MotorCars of Distinction in West Palm Beach, specializing in rare supercars. After selling in excess of $10 million by the age of 23, he opened a second dealership, SuperCar Inc., pursuing high-end VIP car collectors, and from there, became the creator of Palm Beach’s Supercar Experience events. While producing Supercar Experience events, David fell in love with the entertainment industry. The more he produced, the more he wanted to explore further avenues…and this was where music stepped in.

In 2013, David made his next move to Los Angeles and created his entertainment company, Elation. The team gained steam quickly; just one year later, Elation was chosen by The Recording Academy (widely known for The Grammy Awards) to be a panelist and speaker for the Music Production’s “Creation to Elation” event for Grammy Camp LA. After seeing great success, Elation continued working with The Academy and making meaningful connections, and has since worked with many additional artists, producers and mixing engineers including Glorilla, Robin Thicke, Jordin Sparks, Scott Storch, Neyo, Eric Bellinger, Rick Ross, Calboy, Joe Perry from Aerosmith, Ginuwine, Kieth Sweat, Master P, Silkk The Shocker, Fiend, Mia-x, Mr. Serv On, Ja Rule, Ashanti, Mac 10, Shawn Stockman, Rob Knox from the Y's, Sheila E, Malik Yusef, Jon Secada and Casme. David also began hosting multiple artist writing camps at his 5,000-square foot full recording studio in Burbank for top-tier artists including Beyonce, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Molly Moll.

During his eight years in Hollywood, David would often visit family back in New Orleans, and began to notice a major gap in the city’s lack of access to the entertainment industry’s standard gear and creative spaces. Feeling called to provide creatives in his home town with a space to thrive, he knew his next move was back to New Orleans. In August 2021, he purchased a 12,000-square-foot building just outside the city in Metairie, Louisiana. Elation’s new home is a multi-media center featuring six music recording studios, a Dolby-Atmos mixing room, podcast room, video editing, 30-foot curved white wall with lighting stage, multiple set stages, green rooms, screening room and branding department all under one roof.

Since back in New Orleans, David has been appointed to serve on the board of directors of G STAR CHARTER SCHOOL, working to build a music curriculum for grades K-12. He was also inducted into the 2023 Men of Fashion’s New Orleans Hall of Fame because of his love of the city and work that Elation provides to new artists, giving access to tools needed to succeed in the modern entertainment industry. But best of all,  he was lucky enough to marry his grade school girlfriend, Candace Bienvenu, in December 2019 and build a family. They have two children - Asher (age 3) and Aspen (age 1). As David says, only the lucky get to love what they do and the ones they’re with.
